Healing has been around for centuries and used by human beings in various ways to give relief to many symptoms and situations.
If you can imagine a mother soothing a child in pain; placing her gentle loving hands onto the affected area and immediately soothing the child and restoring calmness.
The simplest way to explain healing would be the reminder of the gentle touch of a mother to soothe their child, and the immediate relief which it brings.
It is a pure selfless gesture of love: hands gently placed upon a human being in need and that immediate feeling of love and reassurance instantly restored.
The history of Reiki in the West started to spread in the 1900s.

How Reiki is given
In Reiki healing energy is transferred with a very gentle light touch or by placing the hands above the client’s body.
The client remains fully clothed and covered with a light blanket and an eye pillow, and will most probably experience various sensations like tingling or light heat,
depending on their level of perception. It is important that both practitioner and clients work together and set the best intentions for the healing to be fully effective.
Although this concept may sound strange to some at first it is in fact at the basis of successful outcome.

Distance healing is available for those who are unable to see me in person.
As a professionally trained Reiki practitioner I can send healing to anyone to receive whatever they may need at any particular time.
This is a real benefit in energy healing and a way to help you wherever you may be.
It also helps those clients who want to continue ongoing Reiki treatment, but may be away and unable to see me if they are travelling, on holiday or feeling unwell.
Energy is not confined, it can transcend time and space so it can be easily transmitted where you will need it.
As Reiki practitioners we also get requests from clients to send healing to *their loved ones or to some situations where they may feel extra support is needed.
Generally the benefits include less stress and bringing calm to situations where they thought they might not be able to cope.
How to schedule:
Times must be generally agreed upon either by email or phone, and instructions will be provided since the client has to help the healing by ensuring they are trying to relax at the time the healing is sent.
*IMPORTANT: Please note - Reiki healing is not a replacement for traditional medicine so you must always visit your doctor if something is wrong.
Reiki is used to complement any medication or treatment you may be receiving already.
*You cannot book distant Reiki healing on behalf of someone else without asking for their permission first.
|"Thank you so much Katya for such an incredible healing Reiki session!
Once inside Katya’s gorgeous and light filled sanctuary room, overlooking what I can only describe as the "Botanical Garden",
I felt so very much at ease and welcomed. All my daily worries melted away.
I watched a few kookaburras fly past and other bird life and enjoyed the wonderful natural landscape and gardens outside through a beautiful ceiling to floor window. Heavenly!
Katya guided me to where I could lay down, in my own clothing on the Reiki bed, and ensured I was warm enough with extra blankets.
The room was beautifully scented with essential oils, and gentle, soft relaxing meditation music provided such a calming effect even before we began.
Katya’s beautiful, soft and nurturing voice guided me into a meditative state, whilst she worked on my chakras -
her hands for the most part did not touch or only lightly touched my body.
I felt a tingling sensation at times and heat radiating through my body, especially through my solar plexus and sacral chakra.
I felt stress and negativity leave my body and by the end of the 1 hour session. I felt loved and so very light, as if freed of burdens and all stresses.
Katya, I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful experience of healing I received.
It was amazing and special, beyond words! I very much look forward to another session with you.
Afterwards I felt a greater sense of confidence and more able to hold and understand my emotions.
I felt an increase in stamina to get through long work days and nights, caring for the needs of my children,
and felt stronger in my physicality overall just after one session with you! Can’t wait to experience many more as the benefits have been so profound in many ways!!"
Our body is surrounded by an energy field which can expand and shrinks depending on our status of well being.
It can also be greatly altered with our level of perception and openness to spirituality and meditative practises.
It makes sense to say our energy field is highly sensitive. Similar to an antenna, it picks up and transmits messages to and from those around us, and since we are constantly
in communication with everything around us it is quite obvious that with time and practice we can become quite intuitive.
As therapists we are also usually able to tune in to our clients.
Every organ in the body is governed by its own frequency and draws all its energy from the chakra vibrating within that frequency.
The word chakra in Sanskrit means wheel. The body has seven main chakras and many secondary ones which form our aura, and they each interconnect with one another.
It can be said that chakras are like spinning vortexes.
The whirling motion forms a vacuum in the centre drawing in energy which vibrates at its own vibrational rate.
When we are stressed or worried our chakras become depleted and low in energy; the organs connected to the affected chakras do not receive the energy
needed to function correctly.
When a situation is not resolved, in time it creates what we call energy blockages and can result in illness if left out of balance.
It’s a little like a shower head which has become blocked, no matter how much "water" and pressure we may try to put through - there will be no flow...
Our cells are like many individuals computers, each with their own internal storage and memory.
All our life experiences are stored within us and triggered throughout our life recalling negative and positive experiences, making up who we are and what makes us
feel empowered or fearful depending on the experience we have had.
The memories we carry from childhood experiences reflect the image of our perception of our world, and our place within it.
Each chakra is related to a specific psychological function and is personal to each person according to his or her life experiences.
All these experiences carry emotional energy and reflect on each chakra.
